Snow Day Two 1.11.11

First Chas painted while Mom organized hats and gloves...

Then breakfast for the boys...

Then it was back outside to "break the ice"...
But first I had to gear up. Yesterday my feet froze since I am the only one without snow boots. My feet stayed warm today!

I made a snowman.

Nick cut up some dead trees so we could have a fire...

Chas smashed the snowman.

Ice pops!

Love the ice pop.

Some fireplace shots from last night...

Prepping for the snow...

Snowball throwing!

Only in the South do we make snow angels on the driveway...

I love how Dad is into it...

Sledding was a bust but we did the next best thing...

Toys from the Rose Boys

Always an exciting trip to the Rose home! Today Chas got a new dump truck toy complete with a "claw" arm. First he happily scrubbed it down...

And dried it off! And then up to the train table to incorporate it into daily play!

Monster truck racing. The one on the bottom is the one I get to use...every time...rarely do I win.

Thank you Rose family!!!

The end of holiday break...

While I was trying to prepare lunch...

Chas was on a "Mommy! Mommy! Play with me!" roll...I told him I was busy making lunch but that I would play with him after. He replied, "Who can I play with?" Dad in all his wisdom replied, "Go play with Harley." I chuckled at the suggestion until I went into the living room to hear what all the giggling was about... Chas took Dad's advice and Harley did her part!

Cute story. Chas and I lost track of time last night and did not go to bed until after 10...oops. This morning I figured he would sleep maybe a little later so I did not worry.

This morning was my first morning back to work. At 6:55 as I was doing my hair I thought I heard a noise. I listened but did not hear anything really...I figured it was Harley on stairs...after all...she does follow me around. Well...not a minute later I see Chas with his blanket completely over his head walking through the kitchen. I went in and asked what he was doing and he replied..."I am a ghost train!". I had to end the game, however, as he was headed right toward the fridge. Who knows how he made it down the stairs!
