Kindergarten 2013-2014

What a year! Chas had a wonderful year of Kindergarten! He ended with a perfect report card and reading well above grade level. He seems to be a natural at math but is very anxious about writing.  He loved social studies the most! His teachers were Mrs. Henning and Mrs. Alvarez.

The life of a teacher's child...get to school early and stay at least an hour after school daily...I always try to make it special...Chas gets to watch Stampy play minecraft on the active board...

And we celebrated Chas' half birthday...

 

 

Who talks like that?

Chas was just sitting on the floor pulling out spy gear and says with a smile,
"Ahhh...I have a lot of fond memories of Great Wolfe Lodge."

I asked him why and he shows me a necklace from there. For a boy that did not want to go down ANY waterslides for most of the trip this makes me happy! Glad he had fun doing all the other stuff!

Tickle Fight

Tonight after books, prayers, and a story I began to tickle Chas.  Chas requested we have a tickle fight so I promptly began to tickle him while standing up.  He said, "No, no, on the bed." So crawling onto the bed I replied in a serious tone, "I may pee my pants." With an equally serious tone he asked if I wanted to go potty first.  I said I would be okay but mid-tickle he stopped and asked if I was going to pee my pants and ended the tickle fight with "You better go to the bathroom now!".

Sweetest. Boy. Ever.

Tooth #5

Chas has a wiggly tooth.  Dangling ready to be pulled wiggly tooth. He does not want to wiggle it. Tells me later the plan was to keep waking up at night to open his mouth so in the morning it would fall out and be in a pile of drool--his words, not mine. It was leaning forward.  I decided I better snap a pic before his smile changed.

Bedtime. Brushing Chas' teeth. Told him not to worry, I would not brush his tooth because I knew he was scared about it falling out. Oops.  As I was brushing he goes "Wait! And spits out the tooth." I thought he was mad but he looks at me and says "AWESOME!" He continued to say how he hopes he gets $4.99 because he wants to buy gems for Clash of Clans (or Crash of Clams as he tends to say, ha ha!). Anyway, my baby is growing up! Here's the new smile...still the cutest boy on the planet!

 Aunt Nancy--tooth pillow sure is getting lots of use!
